  • Aug 05, 2016 There should be a link for the mod manager download or a manual download right on the mod page. With NMM; Go to the mod page. Click 'Files' Click 'Download.
  • May 16, 2019  Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) was the in-house modding solution used by Nexus Mods between 2011 and 2016. It was declared End-of-Line and no longer supported in December 2016. The last official version of NMM was 0.65.2. The current version of NMM is maintained by DuskDweller and Squidbox on GitHub.
  • Oct 16, 2019  Vortex currently supports over 65 titles, with more being added by both our developers and the Nexus Mods community. Anywhere you see the 'Download with manager' button on our site, Vortex can handle that mod. Does Vortex replace NMM/MO/my current mod manager?
  • Jul 21, 2019  Install using Vortex or MO2 (has a FOMOD). If you use NMM, you must get the patched version of NMM 0.65.10 (link is in a sticky post) or use the Ultimate plugin (included). Only need update (below) if you were using 2.5.2.1. Mod manager download; Manual Download; Preview file contents. Update files. Small update for Scrap Everything.

Jan 28, 2018  A temporary work-around is to install the link handler manually: Open regedit with admin privileges. Add a new key called nxm to HKEYCLASSESROOT. In there, change the (Default) string value to Nexus Mod Download (or whatever you want to call it).

In the past, there has always been a small window that opened after clicking the automatic download for mods at the Nexus. Currently, that window is not opening and there is just the standard box asking to download with Vortex. I used the manual download and installed the desired mod with NMM.

Has something changed with Nexus such as a new API? Will clicking the download with Vortex work with NMM?

Yes, it's the same link, just click download with Vortex and it'll download with any mod manager you got handling Nexus links.
